New Orleans Food & Funk Festival: Bringing the Spirit of NOLA to Seattle for a Second Year

Seattle, WA- The music and culinary event, produced by First & Goal Inc., returns to Washington Music Theater for a second year. New Orleans Food & Funk Festival (NOFF) is the perfect celebration for creole food fanatics and soul music enthusiasts looking for southern flavors and Northwest vibes. The event will take place September 29, 2017.
The NOFF Food Quarter features a collection of PNW chefs who are passionate about crafting up NOLA inspired dishes. Restaurant Roux, Toulouse Petit, Taylor Shellfish, and a dozen other area restaurants will be showcasing Big Easy flavors of Seattle. A special guest chef from New Orleans will also be joining the food quarter lineup this year.
Attendees will enjoy dishes like gumbo, crawfish, shrimp and grits, po boys, hush puppies and the best beignets in Seattle, while sipping specialty cocktails from the “Voodoo Pharmacy,” “St.Roche Speakeasy,” and “Big Easy” (signature festival bars).
In addition to the food, the event will showcase a talented line-up of musicians hailing from both New Orleans and the Northwest. The artists featured at NOFF’s Music Discovery Stage will be curated by the team from Upstream Music Fest + Summit, Paul G. Allen’s returning locally focused music festival in Pioneer Square. Full announcment will be made in early September.
